Organizational structure and organizational learning: The moderating role of organizational defensive routines

چکیده
Literature on organizational learning (OL) shows that even firms who self-perceive themselves to have appropriate structures still fail generate outcomes. In this article, we claim one of the neglected key factors explaining failures are defensive routines (ODRs). Drawing literature, our theoretical inference is high levels ODRs can negatively moderate relationship between and OL. To test moderation hypothesis, study employs hierarchical regression analysis a sample 358 respondents from various industries in United Kingdom. The result confirms formalization affects OL, effect OL moderated by regardless age, size, sector.
